GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTORATE
The mission of the General Administrative Directorate of “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău is to ensure that the university's policies are put into practice through the continuous optimisation and modernisation of administrative support activities in the following areas:
- implementation of investment and equipment projects;
- implementation of new investment objectives;
- management and maintenance of the university's assets;
- capital repairs, rehabilitation, consolidation and current repairs of the facilities;
- accommodation and catering services for students and collaborators;
- accounting and asset management;
- payroll and human resources management;
- management of the IT&C hardware and software infrastructure;
- security and physical protection;
- occupational health and safety;
- emergency situations;
- printing house and publishing;
- library.
The organisation and functioning of the G.A.D. are governed by its own regulations, approved by the Board of Directors and the University Senate.
The G.A.D. is headed by a general administrative director, who is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Rector.
The general administrative director directly oversees the following structures:
1. Technical Directorate, comprising:

- Public Procurement Service
2. Administrative Directorate, comprising:
- Social Service
- Security and ISCIR Service
- Emergency Situations and Occupational Health and Safety Unit
3. Economic Directorate, comprising:
- Finance, Assets and Investments Service
- Budget and Accounting Service
4. Human Resources and Communication Directorate, comprising:
- Human Resources and Payroll Service
- IT and Digital Communications Service
5. Library Service
6. “Alma Mater” Publishing House
