Cookie policy
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser to remember information between pages or between visits. This policy describes the cookies used by www.ub.ro, the website of the “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău.
Cookies we use
The website only uses cookies needed for it to work and cookies that remember the options you choose. We do not use advertising or traffic analytics cookies and we do not share information about your visit with advertising partners.

Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off on the website, because it does not work properly without them. Functional cookies are only set if you use the accessibility options.
Third-party content
The presentation video on the home page is embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): YouTube does not store cookies before you start the video. Once it starts, the Google privacy policy applies. Some older pages may contain other embedded content (videos, maps, documents), which may set the provider’s own cookies.
How to change your choice
- use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page, which shows the cookie bar again;
- use your browser settings, where you can see, block or delete cookies (for example in Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari, under Privacy).
Blocking all cookies in the browser may prevent parts of the website from working, such as changing the language.
