College for Tertiary Non-University Education

The College of “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău offers full-time tertiary non-university education for professional qualifications at qualification level 5, according to the National Qualifications Framework (CNC) approved by Government Decision no. 918/2013.

Studies last between 1 and 3 years, depending on the complexity of the qualification and the number of credits obtained, and are based on the framework plans, curricula and Vocational Training Standards (SPP) approved by the Ministry of Education. Courses are taught in Romanian.

NOTICE

For the attention of candidates registered for the admission competition for the professional qualifications of the College of “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău

Given that, in the admission session for the 2026-2027 school year, the legal minimum number of candidates was not reached for the professional qualifications offered by the College of “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, namely CNC Machine Operator Technician and Medical Laboratory Assistant (according to the Admission methodology for the College of “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău for the 2026-2027 school year), we inform you that, in the 2026-2027 school year, “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău will not organise tertiary non-university education within the University College.

Registered candidates are asked to send a request for a refund of the registration fee, together with a copy of their ID card and a bank statement (in the candidate's name) showing the IBAN code, to rector@ub.ro.

EDUCATIONAL OFFER FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

A professional qualification will only be organised if the minimum number of enrolled students is reached, as provided by law (no fewer than 15).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

High school graduates without a baccalaureate diploma (high school graduation certificate) or with a baccalaureate diploma or equivalent diplomas are entitled to apply for admission to the College of “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău.

Candidates register online, on the platform https://admitere.ub.ro, or at the headquarters of “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION

• high school graduation certificate or, if available, the baccalaureate diploma or, as appropriate, proof of the recognition or equivalence, according to the law, of baccalaureate diplomas issued by educational institutions abroad;
• transcript of records for grades IX-XII/XIII issued by educational institutions in Romania or proof of the recognition or equivalence of high school education, according to the law, of transcripts for grades IX-XII/XIII issued by educational institutions abroad;
• birth certificate, identity card and marriage certificate (in case of name change);
• a C1-level Romanian language proficiency certificate issued by accredited higher education institutions in Romania that organise the preparatory Romanian language year for foreign citizens, by the Romanian Language Institute or its Romanian language lectureships, or by the Romanian Cultural Institute abroad, for citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation;
• a medical certificate issued by the candidate's family doctor, showing that they are clinically healthy and fit for the professional qualification they wish to obtain;
• 3 (three) recent colour photographs of the candidate, ID card format (3×4 cm);
• proof of payment of the registration fee (online payment of the registration fee; payment can also be made directly into account RO20TREZ06120F330500XXXX at the Bacău Municipal Treasury, or at the University cash desk).

ADMISSION TESTS:

A. If the number of registered candidates for the respective professional qualification is less than or equal to the number of places approved in the enrolment plan:

• Test 1 (single test) - the overall high school graduation average or equivalent.
• The admission average is the overall high school graduation average or   equivalent.

B. If the number of registered candidates for a professional qualification exceeds the number of places approved in the enrolment plan, candidates will take a written test (multiple choice).

• Test 1 - the overall high school graduation average or equivalent;
• Test 2 - the mark obtained in the written test.

The admission average is calculated as follows: 0.5 x the overall high school graduation average or equivalent, plus 0.5 x the mark obtained in the written test.

The minimum admission average cannot be lower than 5 (five) or an equivalent number of points, regardless of the mark obtained in the written test.

Tie-breaking criteria for equal averages: candidates are ranked first by their overall average in grade XII and then, if necessary, by their overall average in grade XI.

ADMISSION FEES:

• Registration fee: 100 lei*
• Enrolment fee: 60 lei*.

*Under the Decision of the Senate of “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, the categories of candidates set out in art. 13 para. (2) of the Admission methodology are exempt from the registration and enrolment fees, subject to the conditions set out in art. 13 para. (3).
