COMPONENT PROJECT P5

Efficient metal removal processes for advanced materials used in automotive and aerospatial industries

Coordinating institution: ”Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacau

The project aims at streamlining waterjet and stretch-forming technologies and applying them to part processint (e.g. armor, body and structural components, etc.) made of advanced materials (e.g. high strength steel, light alloys, etc.) usedn in automotive and aerospace industry. For this purpose, the theoretical and experimental methods and techniques that will lead to the efficiency of the respective processing technologies applied to these types of materials will be used.

The transfer of the results obtained in the research will lead to the increase of the transfer capacities of the research results to the companies from the automotive and aeronautical industry.

Modern methods, techniques and modern tools for research of advanced materials processing technologies aim at eliminating internal stresses, applying methods to obtain optimal process parameters, reducing materials consumption, etc.
